Getting started

Getting started with TitleCheckPro

Everything you need for your first reading, in about five minutes.

Open the reading tool

1Put TitleCheckPro on your desktop or phone

Install it once and it opens from its own icon, in its own window, like an app. It is always the latest version, with nothing to update.

Windows or Mac (Chrome or Edge)Open the reading tool, then press Install app at the top. Or use the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
Android (Chrome)Open the reading tool, tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
iPhone or iPad (Safari)Open the reading tool, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.

2Sign in

Your first time, open the link in your welcome email and choose a password. The list under the box ticks green as you type: at least 8 characters, with an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter, a number and a symbol.

After that, sign in from the reading tool with your email and password. Forgot it? Press Forgot password? on the sign-in box and we'll email you a link.

3Set up your business profile

Press Business profile at the top. Your name as licensed and your PRC licence number are printed on every report you make. On a paid or beta account you can add your company name, logo and contact details too.

You can also change your password there.

4Make your first reading

  1. Who is this reading for? Type the requester's name and email. It names the report and files it under Saved Readings.
  2. Enter the technical description. Choose Read it from my documents, upload clear photos or a PDF of the title (and any tax declaration, tax map or survey plan you have), then press Extract technical description. Or type the tie line and courses yourself.
  3. Find the tie point. Search for the survey marker named at the start of the technical description, for example BLLM No. 1, Cad 800-D, and pick the row with the right province and town.
  4. Plot it. Press Compute plot. The lot is drawn on the map, and TitleCheckPro checks that the boundary closes and the area matches the title.
  5. Check the plot. Answer the two questions: does the location look right, and does the shape look right?
  6. Take your files. Press ⬇ Download all files & report. You get the report as a PDF to send your client, a Google Earth (KML) file and a plot image in one folder. Tick “Also save an editable Word copy” if you want a Word file too.

What counts as a reading: one press of Extract, however many pages it reads. Typing the description yourself uses no reading.

5Come back to your work

Every reading is kept under Saved Readings for 90 days. Opening one again costs nothing. Your uploaded documents are not kept, so add photos again if you need them in a new report.

6The tabs marked Beta

Due Diligence, Consolidate, Listing Intake and Listing Map are still being tested. Use them, but check their results carefully.

The Listing Map shows the properties you add with Add to Listing Map on Listing Intake, each drawn where it is. A property stays on your map until you remove it.

As a beta tester you have the number of readings a month in your welcome email, until the date it gives. The count starts again on the 1st. Press your Beta tester badge at the top to see how many are left.

7Something wrong? Tell us

Press Report a problem at the top, or tell us what's wrong in a Beta tab. Say what happened and what you expected. We add the tab, the job reference and the version for you, and reply by email.

Please don't type client names, ID numbers or other personal details in a report.

Please remember: TitleCheckPro gives preliminary, indicative results only. A plot is a reference drawing, not a relocation survey; before anyone relies on a boundary, have it checked by a licensed Geodetic Engineer. It is not legal advice or a title guarantee.
